How-to deal with imposter syndrome
Ladies, if you know, YOU KNOW and I know you KNOW what I am talking about when I call out the BIG "I" word.
[IMPOSTER SYNDROME]
Yes that's right, IMPOSTER - SYNDROME. As women who are dreaming big for ourselves, thriving in our careers, wanting and desiring to accomplish more things and committed to our growth, it can feel really, really, REALLY feel stretchy at times. 🥹
Imposter syndrome is that little culprit that just comes to you, when you least expect it, just like an unwanted pimple the day of an important event, yet the pimple is more gentle than imposter syndrome. 😇
Imposter syndrome in some fancy definition is not just a "icky feeling" you get but as true definition: Imposter syndrome is "the persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one's efforts or skills". -Oxford Dictionary.
Now ladies that's a pretty BIG feeling to have. And lucky for us, the more we get to understand what's going on when we feel like an imposter the better we get at controlling that internal dialogue that makes us feel this way. 🙏🏽
We can control the outcome, we can!
In this episode, I explore the topic of imposter syndrome and I go over a few practices that can help us deal with this feeling and especially help us overcome this narrative so it can better serve us.
Tune in and tell me what comes up for you when you think of imposter syndrome.
